The Tech incubation center has been established in the college of science and technology in 2021 funded and supported by Entrepreneurship Promotion Division (EPD), Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE), Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment through Start-up/Cottage and Small Industries (CSIs) Flagship Program. The center aims to develop entrepreneurial mindset and encourage youths to take up entrepreneurship as a career helping solve unemployment problems while contributing to nation building and country’s economy. It further aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among engineering students and faculties of the college, support technology based entrepreneurship spirits among the future technologists. The center shall serve as an avenue for people with growth mindset to learn and grow, helping refine their ideas and turn them into viable businesses. The center will strive to build a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem within and outside the college, connecting people with diverse background, contributing towards fulfillment of national priorities.

Mission
  • Stimulate entrepreneurial spirit and mindset among students by assisting them to put their creative ideas into action for solving real-life problems.
  • Incubate and support innovative ideas to meet social obligations and enact wealth and employment generation.
  • To nurture a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in the college.
  • To raise awareness and promote entrepreneurial culture in the college and community.
  • To support aspiring entrepreneurs with good business ideas, at the start-up stage by providing space and a conducive work environment.

Participating in the Incubation Center event was inspiring and enriching. It expanded my understanding of innovation and how skills from Science and Humanities apply to entrepreneurship. The mentors’ insights encouraged creativity, collaboration, and a growth mindset. I’m grateful for this opportunity to embrace entrepreneurship and contribute to future innovations and national development.

Participating in the event organized by our college’s Incubation Center was truly eye-opening. I walked in with just a rough idea and walked out with a clear direction and newfound confidence. The mentors challenged my assumptions, encouraged creativity, and helped me refine my concept into something practical. It felt like a real launchpad—suddenly, my ideas felt possible. This experience has definitely sparked an entrepreneurial mindset in me.
